An original, iconic, essential and evocative creation: lamp that leaves its mark. As it is a luminous object signed by Odile Decq, it could be nothing less than an outstanding and memorable architectural artifact, capable of creating a unique and ethereal elegant space. Like other products by Luceplan, the brand name par excellence in lighting Made in Italy, Javelot Macro was born ‘ad hoc’ for the expansion project of the MACRO (Rome’s Museum of Con- temporary Art) and created by Studio Odile Decq. Conceived to coherently interpret the intentions of the designer in a quest for dynamic equilibrium of spaces and structures, the Javelot Macro lamp was created in two versions: a ceiling light fot interiors and a landscape light for outdoors.
The first one consists of a single tapered body in aluminium with conic ends in glossy methacrylate, capable of diffusing suggestive illumination thanks to dramatic LED sources.
The second one consists of three luminous ‘javelins’ that intersect at an asymetrical joint assembled on a pole, giving rise to a sculpture creating unprecedented outdoor choregraphies.
