The general layout for this competition was based on a 100 meter long upended aeroplane wing or metal blade, supported by an external mast (modeled after a ship’s mast). The body of the building consists of blocks of office space divided into seven-storey cantilevered blocks, each slightly shorter in length than the preceding block.
