The land on which the Montpellier Branch of the Banque de France is based is a former private residence which could be similar to the definition of a private mansion without necessarily having had its typology.

The peripheral afforestation of the land reinforces this identity of a private mansion sheltered from prying eyes protected by tall trees.

The history of Banque de France branches in regional towns is part of the tradition of private mansions, generally of high architectural quality in town centers.

The party that we propose is part of this tradition, is anchored on the site and by a contemporary rereading ensures the durability of the building and the institution Banque de France.
